Naughty Yu Ling aka bao bao long Bday

Yesterday mark my naughty Ms Yu Ling 3 years old bday.
I almost forgotten till I receive daddy call and ask me home for dinner.

Got to wake up and think what to get for her this year.

Thought of buying toys, but mum is complaining that she had too many and chuck the whole house.
Hmmm.. 3yrs old.. what should I buy???

Finally, I set my mind to get her a sweet pinkish Minnie Mouse school bag, some more able to pull.
Seems like very trendy, as i see most of the kids pulling their school bag here n there.

Here comes her birthday cake... first thing she say is to my hubby: " Uncle... cannot eat huh"... we all broke out into laughter... Cos she still remember that darling ever scare her by eating up all her toys... (okay we are tricking her.. perform magic trick to show he swallow down)

Yu Ling : " Uncle.. Cannot eat hor". "My cake... dirty.. cannot eat"
She is trying to protect her cake
That selfish Bao Bao Long, never want us to touch her cake. But she really enjoy when we sing her birthday song. Super active singing along with us.
Super Chocolaty
Time for cake cutting session, we nearly scold her as she ban us from cutting the cake.
She wanted to do it herself, till we convince her Uncle hold her hand cut together.
Finally we can have cakes to eat... I love cakes too... yummy.
Usually, cakes should be given to the eldest family member to eat first... but my naughty niece, immediately grab one piece and start scooping to her mouth.
OMG.. Hope she can be more feminine when she grow up.
I better get a slice to eat, before she finish hers and snatch mine.
I got my slice of cake
The cake is really nice for chocolate lover like me. Different layer, with different texture.
From a brownie taste to chocolate moose... yum yum.. with lots of chocolate flakes at the sides.

And finally, snap a photo of a "Dirty Cat"

Wish my dearest Yu Ling Happy Birthday, may her grow up healthily and more obedient.

Trying out new Hair Dye - Liese

These few days had been watching TV advertisement and showing the Liese Bubble hair dye.

It look rather simple to use and so I thought of trying it too.
So off I went to Watson to grab a bottle. Looking thru the range of color they had, I wanted something soft that not the color not so outrageous... and finally I'm settle with the Platinum Beige color.
Trying to show a more closer color of the dye

Expected Color to be turn out
Of cause when I select the color, I actually look at the color expectation chart. My roots are the hardest to dye as i guess it is super black and always very stubborn to accept other color.
So I hope it turn out at least the top  range of color. Not too brownish.. just nice under the sun.

If look carefully, Liese is having some promotion as you can see from the picture above there is something attach to the box. Guess what it is???
A nice Cape from them. This will help to prevent my clothes from staining.

Items in the Box
So What are the items you are expecting in the box is all present above.

Before I start to dye my hair, well, just in case I get myself ready with the Liese Cape they provide.
Looks cool rite.

So now i shall mix the solution together... Hmmm, I feel I like a witch trying to make a poison potion to my hair... haha and slowly tilt in the bottle to gently mix it.

The fun part start now, I got to squeeze the foam out and shampoo my hair. Seriously... the ammonia smell strong. Initially I would like to do it in the toilet... but the smell make my eyes tears start to drop.
So do it in a more ventilated place.

The foam that is able to squees out is more than enough.. especially for me with thick amount of hair.
So those with long hair, I don't think is an issue that it will not be enough. The more you massage the more bubble you will have. And I ended up looking like this once stop massaging my head.
Bubbles in my Hair
Okay.. I know I look damn ugly in the picture... And it show... short hair to me is a damn no-no.
Instead of waiting for 30min before washing... I actually overrun to 1hour... (Watch TV forgot the timing)

Once complete washing and drying, there is a leave in Royal Jelly lotion for your hair to nutrient it.

Color of it... I really like it.
Before Hair Dye
My roots is seriously black and bottom is kind of brownish... I need more even color.

After Liese Hair Dye
Seriously... it is really very even. I like the soft touch.
Anyway, since many people told me after 1 week the color will change, so I took a picture that show how my hair color is right now.

1 Week Later
Super cool right.. as the root is so well cover.

Strongly recommend for those who like to DIY your hair color at home people to use Liese.

A one day trip to Johore Bahru aka JB

I'm staying in woodland, therefore, shopping in JB is consider nearer to me than going to town.
Except for the heavy jam that we will be expecting when driving across custom.
What to do, Singaporean just like to go there to pump cheaper petrol, shop for cheaper clothing, enjoy a cheaper meal and of cause for me nearer place to go.

So wondering where to go when in Malaysia, JB??
My plan is always as usual, around 1pm, my hubby and I will start driving in on Sun. Consider the Jam is better that going on Sat. If we would like to go on Sat, suggest people to start driving in at around 3pm.
Camwhoring while in the Jam
I first stop will always be finding our Lunch. And my favorite is eating Chicken rice @ Jalan Sutera Danga shop house where the shop name called 5 star Kampong Chicken Rice. Price is cheap and they use Kampong Chicken (mean free range chicken). Food there is really awesome.
Menu from the 5 Star Kampong Chicken
My hubby and I often order half chicken which only cost us RM 18.00 (That is only about SGD7.50).
And my "must" to order food here, is the Thai Style Fried Bean curd.  It give a crispy at outer and soft inside. Do be careful when having a bite on it... super hot which will burn your tongue. The sour & spicy sauce that spread on the top also give a thumbs up to this dish.

So below is what we had order for our lunch:
Half Kampong Chicken

Forgotten what veges

My Favorite Thai Style Bean curd
Plus 2 cups of refreshing sour plum juice... the total damage to our pocket for this fabulous lunch cost us less than RM40.  Thumbs Up... you hardly can find this price in Singapore and your tummy is definitely filled to the brim. (With so many food, it only cost SGD16.70)

So after lunch our 1st stop will be at the Sutra Mall (五福城). This is the place where my earlier blog entry I wrote where i get my clothes 2 for RM50. Parking there is free therefore we are able to slowly do our shopping.

Next stop, I usually go to KSL (behind Holiday plaza) if I want to do more shopping or City Square nearer to custom. City Square some how seems abit old, but they have lots of things you want there.
Especially for those KTV lovers like me. You be able to sing till your lung drop at the Neway. Dinner hour cost around RM43++ per pax and it come with free buffet spread. Super worth it, as the food is not those cheapo type. There is oyster, sushi, soup, wide spread of desserts.

If KTV is not your favorite, i like to go to the "Inner City" section within city square mall, where they sell lots of youngster clothing, magazine, accessories and affordable food.

And one newly open shop which sell Crepe... yum yum, is worth to try.
Anyway is the color of the shop and menu that catches my eyes. Hmmm... What should I have for snacks??? Too many choices. For those with sweet tooth, i took a picture of Sweet Crepe they offer:
Sweet Crepe Menu ( drooling)
And for those that prefer salty one... well like me, I choose the chicken sausage with mayo, cheese and ham in it.
Close up of what is inside

Does it look yummy to you??? Love it, and wish to have it soon.

Will look for more yummy stuff and recommend next time

My New Iphone 4 Casing

Finally after few days of working hard on it....
With my eyes nearly become crossed eyes..

My new Bling Bling Iphone 4 casing is done.

Frankly speaking, it is really a tough job for me. Concentration and trying to figure a way to complete it.
The hardest part is the Rilakuma. 3D surface is kind of hard. But doing myself can really save alot (if buy ready made at least cost S$60)... and is full of my patience and sweat.. Pheww...

I took some pictures of the process i made the casing.
Getting ready stuff to start deco
Things needed:
Cute Rilakuma doll
Iphone 4 casing
AB epoxy glue
Tweezers
1000pcs Champagne color
1000pcs Pink color
100pcs White color
10pcs Red Color
White pencil (this pencil is unique, just use to pick up the crystal)

I started off with doing the Rilakuma.. Seriouslly it need a lot of patience.
I start off from the center as i thought it will well define the shape.
And also those eyes and nose and pinkish year are the area that I start to stick on first.
So here is my half way done stage...
Okay, it is rather hard to take the bling using camera... but i'm quite satisfy as it is my first attempt.
After the first day... my eyes is like seeing stars...

Making my vision super blurry. So if anyone want to make themselves, well i should say, no when to stop and take a rest.

Anyway just to show off my storage case where i keep all these beads, pearls and crystal.
My storage case
Nothing much in there. Basically i get for $2 from daiso. Maybe as i get more colors i need to think of better way to store my items.

Once I'm done with my dolly, it is time to get started with the phone casing. As it is using suction to stick on, I need to mark the area so that I will not over stick on to it.
Just press the doll on it and get a Sharpie pen or sharp pointed white board marker to mark it as follow photo.
Marking the area not to attach the crystal

A rough guide
Next I start spreading glue around the case and work from the outer.

And finally, with my hard work... i got repay with with cute nice case to be use.

Super love it. But the problem lies on... how am I going to protect my hard work???

Hmm... maybe I shall do a pouch for it.

Will blog about how i make a pouch once I complete it.

Oh ya.. before I forgotten, if u mind the marker ink... actually i use nail remover and the cotton bud to remove it. But do it carefully as it will dissolve the glue too.

Dinner @ Hot Tomato

Okay, darling finally got time to bring me out this weekend. Although we did not go to town for shopping, at least he bring me to Causeway Point.. Ya, I know it sound boring. Staying in Woodland some more go to woodland shopping mall. But, Causeway Point to me now is like super fun place to go.
So many shops had reopen... finally lor. It been close for renovation for so long, even quite a few shops re-open earlier, it is still rather boring.

But today, I notice so many new faces of shop and restaurant here... Wow, only 1 week never shop there, so many shops open.
Watson, my favorite shop for toiletries is finally open @ B1... super happy for it, and it gets bigger with pharmacy counter available for us to buy prescribe medicine.
As usual, I would always start off from the top level down to bottom. Since it is evening, definitely will also look out for places to have dinner.
Food court to me is definitely no-no... cause I always complaint to darling that with this kind of food and price, i rather go eat Mcdonald. Cheaper some more.
Finally, Level 2 beside Metro caught my eyes. When is there restaurant open at this corner??
Beside Swensens, 2 other restaurant also join in. (Empire State and Hot Tomato).
Okay, sure must try so I set for Hot Tomato. Since the Tomato decoration look so nice. ( okay anyway I choose this restaurant is because the Q is one of the shortest)
So while Queuing we start to read our menu outside before the supervisor approach us for order even before we got a seat.
Sausage in the menu look yummy
Finally both of us settle for the main course we would like as I just had hard time making decision. So while waiting for our seat, what I can do is camwhore in the Q.

I'm trying to take the tomato divider but guess is too bright so I just make a cute face.
And less than 10minutes, we finally got a seat. I guess couple is much easier to find seat than those in groups of 4s. Anyway the seat we get is also not super fantastic, is just right at the entrance. Feel rather pressure as people keep walking in and out, as I like need to rush to complete my food so as not to keep occupy the table.
I actually like restaurant with open concept kitchen. So I can see how clean they are and are they doing funny things inside. Also hopefully I can learn one or two skills by looking at the way they prepare food.

And best of all, I can see what are some of the ingredients they use to make this fantastic meal.
Before we start starving, our soups and drinks are here.

At the same time I get darling to pose, giving him warning not to always give the same cheeky smiling face. So he give me this idiot face as follow:
Wondering is he trying to act like a ape?? Be one of the cast in "The Rise of the Planet of the Apes" .
And finally our main course is been served. Darling had the "Steak and Prawn" which stated "Must Try" in the menu.
As for me, super greedy and wish to try more variety, I got the "Mix Platter" which also stated "Must Try" in the menu. The dish is make up of pork chop, roast chicken and sausage.
I thought the meal was simply meat with maybe some fries to go along with it. But when it was been served, and I wanted to start eating, OMG it is serve with spaghetti. I definitely can't finish this whole plate of food.

But you know what the best things when you dine with your partner.... hehe...

Of it goes whatever I can't finish into his plate. The most only received grumble. Saying how greedy I am and always dump food to his plate. But I don't care. (* o ~)

So total damage for tonight dinner.....

S$38.60.... consider a reasonable price with the amount of food we have.
Will definitely come back again.

Okay, I'm going to sleep now, is 12.16am . Hopefully I'm manage to wake up for work..
Haiz.. hate Sunday end so fast.

Lunar Seventh Month - Hungry Ghost Festival

It had been 2weeks since the start of Lunar Seventh Month.
A month that, timid me, also don't dare to stay out too late.. and ankle with bells will also be remove.
I just doesn't want something unwanted follow me home (sound scary right). Anyway, I'm not tell ghost story here.

Every year, when come to Lunar Seventh Month, our company will prepare and organise the whole employee for praying section. Who do we pray to?? Well, we Chinese believe is the other door open and those spirits, souls or so call "好兄弟" will come out and take a breathe.. wonder around.
Offerings will be made, lots of joss paper, joss sticks, roast pork, duck and chicken will be prepare.
Things that are been prepare
And all thanks to our organiser... that every year he will follow the tradition to prepare all the necessary stuff.
The Guru for this event
The Hills of Joss Paper
All sort of "Hell Money" are been prepare for the wondering souls. I always think, do they really get the $$?? And looking at the pile of Joss Paper prepare.. will the Environmentalist hate us??

Food are also prepare to offer them.. And you could see we often prepare lots of flag. All these flags are like hotcake, once the ceremony over, we will snatch them to place at our own department. Hoping it will bring us good luck.

And now, the ceremony begins and all employee start Queuing up to offer the Joss Stick.
Once everyone is done... we will wait for the auspicious timing before we bring the whole stack of "Hell Money" to be burn.
Why we burn?? In tradition, if we want to send anything to those in the other world, we need to burn the item and become ashes so that they are able to receive it.

Burning Chute
Amt of Joss Paper I manage to snatch over

Sometimes I just feel, we are so smart.. even doing simple burning we use our logic thinking to spread the Joss Paper so that it can burn well instead all just simply dumping into the burning chute.
The heat from the chute is super hot but everyone still go ahead to complete burning whatever is on hand.
Once done... I will rush back to snatch the flags and see whether there is any lucky number for me to buy 4D.. (hehe.. hopefully i can win )
See the Lucky Number??

Lucky me.. I still manage to snatch 1 Flag for my department.
Hopefully will bring us Heng Heng through out the year.
See I only manage to get one piece, I need to find a good location within my department to spread the Aurora to everyone.
So.... hehe... Poor boss.. I can only choose your place. Cause it is right at the middle and everyone can sniff the "Good Luck"

Anyway speak about seventh month, what I like most is that many places will be having "GeTai".
Love to hear them sing although it is a entertainment meant for the other world "friends" to hear.

And if the community is rather rich, good host like "Liu Ling Ling" will employ to make the crowd enjoy.
So just to share one of my favorite "Ge Tai" song "家后"
Super like this song as this song meaning is a about a girl after marriage, she love her husband and say to him that even when they come to old stage, she will still accompany him, patiently listen to his story about his young days despite she spend of her youth on him. And even if they are going to leave the world, she wish that he leave first, as she do not wish him to cry after seeing her gone. Super touching.. that why is one of my top Favorite list.

Haiz.. too bad "Ge Tai" always last one month. Once the other world door shut... all this wonderful even will only be able to see next year.

So now what i can do is, catch as many "Ge Tai" during this 1 month and enjoy while I can.
