Perth Trip - Fremantle

After so many years, I finally get a chance to go Australia again. Even though is not back to Newcastle but I'm still glad to be there to breathe in fresh air and feel the slow pace. Best of all, to enjoy the cold weather that I will never get in Singapore.

The first day in Perth, I had plan to go to Fremantle. A place where all tourist will not miss out. Entering the weekend market aka Fremantle Market that only open from fri to sun is definitely not to be miss. Fresh fruits and yummy cakes are sold at cheap price. House deco, fashionable clothing, accessories to handicraft could also be found.

Yummy cupcakes that I wish to eat all.

Since we are at Fremantle how could we miss out having a nice seafood lunch at the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour. It is just a 10mins walk away from the Fremantle Market. As I walk along the street, I could see the historical look of the old building.

And finally we walked to the Fishing Boat Harbour and decide to settle for Cicerello's.
A must try item is the fish and chip. It really came in a big portion and super crispy and taste yummy.

After a hearty meal, we decided to to go their nearby park to sit on the ferries wheel. ( this is how i get the view of the fish boat harbour) and kids get to the fun of our old days amusements park.

The final stop that we went to is the Fremantle prison. We choose the Fremantle Prison tour to understand the history of this prison. Okay... frankly speaking I can't remember much. I'm just busy taking photos and posing. (anyway this is alink http://www.fremantleprison.com.au if you like to find out more) Really a nice place, where I had a great view where i never ever think i had a chance to experience it... or maybe i should say i could only see in movies but not in real life.

Grand view of Fremantle Prison

Able to guess why there is net?

A inside view of how the prison look like
Net are use to prevent people from committing suicide. And do you know that the prison warden will never walk at the first floor? That because you don't really want to get whole lot of shit that is been throw down by rebellious prisoners.

This is how small the area for each prison to live in

I think the most spooky area to me is to view the execution area where the prisoner are been hang.

And from what I understand, the executor will touch the person to let him feel the last human feeling and priest of the church will be there to pray and had him leave peacefully.
The place give me a goosebumps when i enter and strangely my niece start to grumble and ask to leave this place immediately when we step in there. What do you think that could be??

Anyway if you are the brave one, you could join their night tour, where they will tell you some strange happening things.

Well, that all for my first day of tour in Perth, I will update more about my Perth in the next post.
