Tokyo Disney - Part 2

This is a little backtrack post where i got to DisneyLand last year. Wanted to post it up but hmmm...

Nevermind, what important is Disneyland is a place that you will never get sick of.

As the period i go is near Christmas, Disneyland is all dress up to welcome this day. Immediately I feel like, I'm like travel back to kid day. Where you immerse in those fairytale stories, happily jumping around and giving the big wow here and there.

Some Tips

1. Get hold of their map. This is extremely useful as you get information on when the show start, which rides have fast pass
2. Obtain Fast Pass (will further explain in this blog): These are rides that are very popular. Don't waste time keep queuing. Use your Disneyland entrance ticket to scan for Fast Pass ticket and come back later for the ride.
3. If it is Autumn/Spring period, even the weather forecast show cooling, get a warm jacket. You never know how the temperature falls at night. especially at Disney.
4. If you had space in your bag, get a picnic mat. Everyone does that to get a nice spot for the parade.
5. Most Important, don't be shy, enjoy the ride like a kid. dress yourself up in Disney hat, headband or clothing. No one will laugh at you, as we are supposed to enjoy our Childhood Moments.

Frankly speaking, I love DisneyLand more than DisneySea. ( I don't mean Disneysea is boring, but i just love the fairytale feeling) You get to see all your childhood Disney Character, like Mickey and Minnie, Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh... and too much to be named.

There are 2 types of parade, one that is performed in the day, another at night.

Day Parade has lots of characters coming out dancing on the street. This is a chance for you to take out your camera and had great shot on your favourite characters.

One thing good about their parade is that they perform for a very long stretch of street. Therefore you definitely able to get a view of it. But i will still suggest that get a good spot fast. Imagine 2hr before the parade start, people are laying down their picnic mat, waiting for it. 

Night Parade is a totally different feel. They focus more on the lighting that made you see the "WoW" I feel I'm in the Neverland. I took some pictures, for sharing. ( hope the photo show some justice as it is really hard to get a nice night mode of moving object)

Fast Pass

You might be wondering what is fast pass and do you need to pay extra? Well, if you obtain a FASS Pass ticket for the ride, it means you will be given the priority queue. And most important, you do not need to pay additional cost. Look out for the ride in the map that state FP.  When you are near the ride with Fast Pass, there is a machine where you can scan your entrance ticket ( so now you know how important your entrance ticket.) Also look out for the timing that state at the Fass Pass Machine. This mean that you are given the priority at which time slot.

One thing you need to bear in mind, after you had obtained one Fast Pass, the next fast pass can only be taken in another 1.5hr to 2hr time. Your ticket will show "Your next FASTPASS ticket for another attraction with be available after XXXtime" So for my above case, I could only go to the next ride and get a FAST Pass after 13:35

Therefore, you need to plan well whether to get the Fast Past or not. And if you really like to hop on the ride, make sure you manage to get the Fast Pass soon. Otherwise, some of the rides may have their FAST PASS tickets fully redeem at around 10am.

Things to See or DO

1. Popcorns. They had so many flavors (caramel, curry, salted...) and their unique tubs/container in the character. The downside, every location had their own flavor or characters. Thus sometimes you might need to walk very far to get your favourite one. For me, i got their Christmas Theme "Stitch". I adore it so much.
2. Enjoy their food at the restaurant. most of it is Instagram-Worthy. 
3. Que for their gigantic turkey leg. Enjoy it especially at their cold evening.
4. Small Small World. Yes it quite a kiddy ride where you just sit in and relax. The music "Its a small small world...." keep ringing in my mind. You just feel so happy after getting the ride.
5. The Parade- both day and night parade should not be missed.
6. Fireworks - Get a good spot near the castle after the night parade. Watch the Fireworks with the musical sound behind. 
7. Once Upon A Time - the Show is using laser to screen on the castle. You do not need to buy a ticket and is open to the public. But, if you want to get a good seat at the center of the castle, well, you got the reserved it by lottery method, which is also free. ( check out the timing of the lottery)

By the way, when fireworks and show finish, it doesn't mean that the end of the day. The park is open for ride till 10pm. So don't hurry home. Enjoy those ride that you missed or even do some shopping at their retailers ( but note that it will be very pack).
