Off to Madagascar

This year the WIN Gala Dinner theme is "Off to Madagascar"

Many people had specially dress up in leopard skins, safari wear except me... hehe.

The event was hold once a year in celebration for the Women Integration Network (WIN).
Okay this dinner is not only the usual DND style where you will go there eat and run off.

We are doing good deed at the same time.
Below pictures will explain.

Before the Dinner, if you notice my earlier post, we have been busy decorating the teddy bears so that we are able to put up the bear for adoption. All $$ that are been collected will go to the HIV children where it will help them.

Of course, this round we had also set a target of 1240 decorated bears to be put in the Singapore Book of Record.
Bears that we decorated
I'm like in a beary land. There is so many adorable bears, and I just wish to grab and hug each one. Well, with so many nice bear around, it shall be my favorite activity to take place... Yes.. Camwhoring.

The event start rolling off by having a native dance.
Everyone was so excited about it. It was really grand one and the food was rather delicious.
Games were play and I got to have pictures with Mr Yam Ah Mee too.

Anyway, the most excitement for us was to listen to the award winning bear... wondering are our bears able to win a position out. With 1240 bears, where it needs to stand out is not really easy.
And finally, when come to the award for the most sporty bear..... Hooray, our skiing bear won the 3rd place.

Is that nice???

Super enjoy during the dinner as we had lots of fun and chat. really wish to join again next year. :)

Birthday Card

Shan Shan birthday is coming soon. So it's time to make a card for her.

Both of us like to DIY for our colleagues, and I thought this round should make something more special for her.

We use to print pictures and cut it out and paste on it. Thinking of special meaningful words to put in it.

But this time, I like the card to have more 3D feel so that she can display on her table.

Ideas I have is a more girlish feel. So I bought some flowers from Daiso, the card backing is actually recycle from those wedding invitation. Most people throw it away after the event, but i feel most of the time they are really solid and have nice emboss or design. The sweet fairy image is what I found online, and I print out and start coloring it with color pencil.

The "Happy Birthday" wording is what I base on the MS Word Font to draw on it...

So here it is after final touch up. And of course my mischievous idea is to put her unglam photo in it to let everyone have a good laugh.

P/s: hope Pei Shan will not see my blog so soon, as once awhile she will pop by... specially post out this earlier for Ms Wee to take a look at the card.

As I open the box is a gift, with a gift card
Haha... good wish... Love it.

Guess what is inside the box??? Is a box of SKII which I been wishing to get hold of it.

Darling specially buy this set for me as I keep mentioning it since last year but just can't pinch my heart to go ahead and made the purchase. I finally got it... having a mix feeling of happy and heart ache at the same time.

This set is really good start up kit for those that want to try or as a gift. So below is what included in the box.
A bottle Facial Treatment Essence 75ml, A bottle of facial treatment clear lotion and a facial treatment mask.

So today is time to have nice food... where I really missed it... Marche @ 313 Somerset. I love the environment and the food portion is really big enough to be share.

Once you enter Marche, you will feel like in farm stay, away from the hectic life. With the fresh market concept, it just made your appetite opens up and feel like trying everything.

Before you are been direct to the seat, everyone will have a guest card so that it enable us to purchase our food on the spot and best thing about this is everyone can go on dutch. Of cause today is my darling treat me... hehehe

Seat taken up.... Is reserved for me & darling

My all times favourite is the mushroom soup, where it is super thick and every scoop is full of blended mushroom.

Another not to be miss the the savoury crepe.... yummy... Usually I order the roasted chicken, but this time round, I go for the black forest ham. As usual, it is super delicious... the only disappointment for today is..... I waited for half an hour just to get one crepe... arghhhhh. Damn piss off, but what to do, I love their crepe so much. In it, they put lots of cheese and mix vegetable. Dipping it in the mushroom cream sauce just made it a perfect one.

Love vegetables??? They had a counter where you just order the size you want, and grab as many vegetable on the plate as possible for them to stir fry. It really taste juicy and fresh. Good for vege-lovers.

Well, nothing more to describe than bombarding with my pictures... haha.

Well, I should end of today with our lovely couple photo.
